On the afternoon of April 2, a delegation of five people including leaders from Tianjin Technology Innovation Center and Tianjin Wuqing Development Area visited our school for a discussion and exchange of ideas. The purpose of the meeting is to further build a platform for school-enterprise cooperation and exchange, promote the technological innovations of enterprises through cooperation with various majors, and continuously improve the practical and innovative abilities of our school's teachers. More than 30 leaders from the school's Scientific Research Department, Principal's Office, Enrollment and Employment Office, various teaching departments, and teacher representatives attended the meeting, which was presided over by Vice Principal Li Fujin.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ding Huili, director of the Research Department warmly welcomed the arrival of leaders from Tianjin Technology Innovation Center and Tianjin Wuqing Development Area. He hoped that the cooperation and communication between schools and enterprises could be further strengthened through this symposium. He also hoped that the leaders of the Tianjin Technology Innovation Center could act as a bridge for the school, actively play the role of school teachers in scientific research and innovation, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of university teachers to serve industry enterprises.
Vice President Li Fujin proposed during the exchange that Tianjin Wuqing Development Area is a national level economic development zone and a strategic location for coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Tianjin Tianshi College is the only applied comprehensive university in Wuqing. The disciplinary and professional settings of Tianshi College are very consistent with the main industrial categories of Tianjin Wuqing Development Area, and are closely related to the development of Tianjin's industry. He hopes to collaborate with high-tech enterprises in Wuqing Development Area with the support from Tianjin Technology Innovation Center, and build a talent highland combining learning, research, and production at Tianjin Tianshi College, continuously attract, cultivate, retain, and serve regional development. And it is proposed that school-enterprise cooperation is an important way to promote the high-quality development of schools and enterprises. It is hoped that both parties can further identify the points of cooperation on the basis of early cooperation, strengthen the effectiveness of cooperation, and achieve a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win.
The attending leaders of Tianjin Technology Innovation Center briefly introduced the construction of enterprises from the perspectives of scientific and technological achievement transformation, service functions for technology transfer, and emphasized the importance of Tianshi College’s policy for promoting the application of scientific research achievements. He said that the companies currently had established bases in Tiankai Higher Education Innovation Park, and the school can build an incubation enterprise platform as a starting point to establish a long-term school-enterprise cooperation mechanism and smooth channels for school-enterprise cooperation.
The attending deans of various secondary colleges discussed the joint construction of schools and enterprises based on their disciplinary characteristics and advantages. After in-depth exchanges, they hoped to strengthen the collaborative education mechanism between school majors and enterprises with the innovation center as the connection point, and truly achieve the goal of ’Going out and introducing in’.
This symposium is an important measure to deepen and implement school-enterprise cooperation. The demands of both enterprises and schools were further clarified through the meeting, and the next work plan and cooperation content were determined, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
