Graduation thesis (design) is an important component of undergraduate talent cultivation, an important link in practical education, and an important basis for measuring the level of education and teaching in schools. In recent years, we have revised the ‘Undergraduate Thesis (Design) Guidance Manual’, which has put forward clear requirements and quality standards for various stages such as topic selection, thesis proposal, process guidance, score evaluation, and thesis defense. By utilizing the management information systems, we have strengthened the full process control of graduation thesis (design). We have strictly controlled the four checkpoints of ‘guiding teachers’, ‘topic selection’, ‘process management’, and ‘thesis defense’, implemented the main responsibility of the college and the first-person responsible system for mentors, increased guidance on graduation thesis (design), conducted special spot checks and evaluated the quality of graduation thesis (design). In future, our school will further innovate the management mechanism for undergraduate thesis (design), promote the organic integration of graduation thesis topic selection with production internships, engineering practice, and real enterprise projects, and improve the quality of graduation thesis (design) continuously.
